Ever curious about the history of fencing? As fellow fencing enthusiasts I thought you might be interested in an upcoming event, the Vancouver International Swordplay Symposium (VISS). VISS is running February 11-13 and has lectures, workshops and seminars on Western Martial Arts.

Also take note that the rates for the event increase as of January 1st
and space in the intensives tracks are limited; so if you're thinking
about coming, now is the time to reserve your spot.

An up-to-date schedule for the Vancouver International Swordplay
Symposium is now online! All of our intensive track and individual
workshop times are posted, along with their descriptions, to help you
plan your days at VISS and get the most out of the instruction on
offer. Pick from a variety of workshops, select a pair of intensive
tracks, or mix and match some of each--the choice is yours. All
intensive and workshop classes will run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
mornings between 9am and 1pm, and in the afternoons between 3pm and
6pm.
